Exploring the Other Side of the Camera Lens
I’m changing things up a little in this post, as I got to do something really fun last week and I wanted to share it with you guys! I got to work with a wonderfully talented photographer, Nikki from Mint Photography, on a photo shoot at Eglinton Park.
Let’s get one thing straight, I do not enjoy being photographed. I don’t hate it, but it’s not my favourite thing. I really enjoy taking photos, just not a huge fan of being in them. Especially when we’re talking about a photo shoot, where it’s just me in front of the camera. Yikes! But right away, Nikki made me feel very comfortable.
Nikki had scouted out some cool locations to shoot at in the park. Nothing felt super forced or awkward. Honestly, I was shocked at how quick and painless the whole experience was.
Normally, when I get photos back from somewhere, a shoot, and event, even school pictures back in the day, I like a maybe one or two of them. But I gotta say, this time I think I’m actually happy with all of the photos!
Like I said, these photo shoots aren’t usually fun for me. In fact, they can be a bit awkward and stressful. But I was so relieved this one was different! Not only did I actually have a good time, but I loved the results.
If you’re looking for a photographer, check out Nikki’s Mint Photography website, and see what you think.
You want to know the craziest thing? I actually want to do another shoot with Nikki soon! I know, nuts. But that’s how much I enjoyed it. Only next time, I’m gonna bring a special guest (hint, he has 4 paws :P)
Let me know your thoughts on photo shoots below. Are you comfortable in front of the camera? What’s your favourite shoot you’ve ever done?
